  • Where will the conference activities be held?

  • Is there a mobile app for the conference?
    • Yes! The app will launch in January 2025. We’ll reach out with instructions on how to access.
  • When does the Call for Proposals process open and close?
    • The Call for Proposals (sessions) opens September 3, 2024, and closes November 22, 2024.

  • What is the schedule for the conference?
    • The 2025 National Honor Society and National Student Council Conferences will take place Friday, January 31 to Sunday, February 2, 2025.
    • The opening general session begins at 2 p.m. CT on Friday and concludes at noon on Sunday.

  • What does the registration fee cover?
    • The registration fee covers all programming, as well as breakfast and lunch on Saturday, February 1 and breakfast on Sunday, February 2.
  • How many students can I bring?
    • There is no limit on the number of students you may bring. However, we require one adviser or school leader for every 12 students.
  • Do you have to be a member to attend?
    • No, you do not have to be a member to attend. The rate is $474 per person for non-member schools.

  • Who can register?
    • The chapter or council adviser is responsible for registration. For every 12 students we require an adviser, school leader, or parent/chaperone.
    • Students cannot register themselves or attend individually. All registrations must be coordinated through the chapter or council’s adviser.
  • How do I register a co-adviser?
    • Once you register yourself, you will see where to add additional advisers, administrators, and parents or chaperones.
  • How does a student register themselves?
    • Students cannot register themselves for the conference or attend individually. All registrations must be coordinated through the chapter or council’s adviser.
  • How do I get back to my registration if I don’t complete it in one user session?
    • When you start your registration for a group, you receive a confirmation email marked “NHS and NASC Registration Confirmation” with a group number. From that email you will be able to log back into your registration to update the information, add student name, adviser names, etc. Any incomplete registrations will result in a cancelled record within 10 days.
  • Who do I contact if I have difficulty registering or if I forget my registration login information?
  • Can I register on the day of the event?
    • No. All registrations must be completed online prior to the conference. Online registration closes Monday, January 6, 2025 or until capacity is reached.
  • Is there a printable registration form?
    • No. Registration is only available online.
  • When will I receive my registration materials?
    • A confirmation email will be sent to the adviser’s email address immediately upon registration. You will also receive additional details via email prior to the conference with detailed instructions.
    • If you do not receive a confirmation email, please reach out to Customer Care  at [email protected] or call 800-253-7746, option 8. You must be able to receive communications from NASSP.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    • Registrations cancelled are not eligible for a refund. If a registrant is unable to attend the conference for any reason, they may substitute another student or adviser to attend in their place by logging into their registration before January 10, 2025. After this date, substitutions may be made on-site or by emailing [email protected].

  • Who is responsible for booking accommodation?
    • Each school is responsible for booking its own hotel accommodation. The link to book hotel rooms can be found HERE or in your registration confirmation email once you have completed registration.
  • Does a hotel reservation secure conference registration?
    • Making hotel reservations does NOT guarantee your attendance at the conference; you must have a confirmed registration. The link to book hotels rooms will be included in your registration confirmation email.

  • How do I get to the hotel?
    • The Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk is 17.6 miles (1 hour travel time) from O’Hare International Airport and 12.1 miles (40 minutes travel time) from Chicago Midway International Airport. An Uber or taxi is approximately $85 from O’Hare and approximately $75 from Midway.

  • How should students and advisers dress for the conference?
    • School attire is appropriate. This includes casual pants, jeans, sweatshirts, and T-shirts. 
      Advisers should ensure that students’ attire represents their school in a positive and appropriate way.
    • No clothing that is suggestive, obscene, or promotes illegal substances—such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs, profanity, sexual pictures, or an inference to these items will be allowed.
