As we approach the close of one calendar year and welcome another, we celebrate the tremendous impact of our chapters and councils, and you—the advisers. Thank you for making a difference in so many lives. Please make sure your activities and events are posted to social media with #MakingGlobalChange. Also, enter them into the National Student Project Database.
The potential of one’s impact can be associated with the theme of this issue—the power of collaboration. We encourage our chapters and councils to envision the impact that comes with intentional collaboration among other clubs, teams, and organizations within your schools, as well as auxiliary groups (booster clubs, parent-teacher-student associations, alumni affairs, etc.).
Partnerships can multiply the impact of projects and events so easily. Think how much easier the school carnival becomes when many school groups are involved in the event, each responsible for a different area. Plus, through this schoolwide collaboration, our students learn the valuable lessons of working with other perspectives, coming to a consensus, and even project management. Or, broaden your reach and work with neighboring schools and state, national, or global service organizations.
As you head into the holiday season, we wish you the very best. Take time to recharge as you collaborate and share special times with your family and friends.
