Can we say that spring is around the corner? Where has this year gone? We know that your councils and chapters have accomplished a lot, and that there is still more great work you have planned.
We are super excited about National Student Leadership Week 2018 and hope that you and your chapters and councils will join us in celebrating leadership to “Make Your Mark on the World: Dream. Lead. Serve.” This year, we want your student leaders to tell us not what they have been doing, but what they want to do. What is their dream? We need them to pitch us their idea for a great activity or event for your school or community. If their pitch grabs our attention and explains fully why this activity or event is beneficial for your school or community, we will help fund it! This year’s theme again centers around the student leadership initiative on global citizenship and making global change.
We will be awarding several $250 and larger micro-grants to councils and chapters to assist in funding these projects, activities, events, and ideas that will make a mark on your school or community. We know they can dream it. We have seen them lead. We’ve also seen them serve. Now, give us the opportunity to help them make their dreams come true!
Make sure to check out the poster in the centerfold of this magazine for more information on how to enter our NSLW 2018 contest. We know that your chapters and councils are already leaving their mark in your communities. Let us help them to dream big, lead, and serve!
